1. Nobel Prizes .
Nobel prize were instituted in 1901 by the Swedish Scientist Dr. Alfred Nobel, the inventor of Dynamite .
He left a huge fortune on the interest of which Five prizes are awarded annually for (1) Physics ; (2) chemistry ; (3) Medicine or Physiology ; (4) Promotion of world peace; and (5) Literature, each prize amounts to about US$1,145,000 (2020).
2. International Children’s Peace Prize.
It awarded annually to a child who has made a significant contribution to advocating children rights.
The first Children's Peace Prize was launched in November 2005 during the Nobel Peace Laureates in Rome, an annual meeting of Nobel Peace Prize winners and international organizations such as UNICEF and Amnesty International.
The value of each prize is $123,000.
3. Magsaysay Awards.
These awards have been instituted in the memory of late President Magsaysay of the Philippines and are the Asian equivalent of the Nobel Prizes.
Five in number , the Awards have been instituted for (1) Public Service (2) Government Service (3) Community Leadership: (4) Journalism and Literature and (5) International co-operation.
4. Pulitzer Prize.
It was established by an American Publisher Joseph Pulitzer in 1917, who endowed 250,000 dollars for the Pulitzer Prize to encourage Literature and Journalism in America, winners receive a $15,000 cash award and a certificate.
It is one of the most coveted and most respected prizes in U.S.A.
5. Peace Prizes of German Book or West German Peace Award.
It was instituted by the West German Book Trade for an outstanding contribution towards promotion of industrial Peace and Friendship.
6. "Atoms for Peace" Award.
This award is made for an outstanding contribution for the promotion and development of atomic energy for peace use.
7. Oscar Award .
These awards are made to the best performer or performance of various roles in the hollywood films made in USA.

9. Stuart Ballantine Medal.
10. King Faisal Prize.
King Faisal International Prize is an annual award was instituted in 1979. This award is sponsored by King Faisal Foundation presented to "dedicated men and women whose contributions make a positive difference. The foundation awards prizes in five categories: (1) Service to Islam; (2)Islamic studies; (3)the Arabic language and Arabic literature; (4) science; and (5) medicine.
The Prize amounts US$ 200,000 and a gold medal.
